Case studies
Real results in two very different niches.
A local home service company and a national content site. Different goals, same playbook: fast pages, focused content, and steady monthly improvements guided by real data.
At a glance
Same playbook, two very different niches.
One is a local home service company that needed the phone to ring. The other is a national content site that needed to win thousands of informational searches. Different goals, same approach: build fast, focused pages around what people actually search, then improve them every month based on real data.
Case study 1: Local home services
A Jersey Shore irrigation company. Goal: more local calls, bookings, and quote requests from Google and Maps.
Case study 2: National content site
A tax-deduction education site. Goal: rank for a wide range of questions and grow organic traffic month over month.
Case study 1 · Local home services · Jersey Shore
Google became the #1 source of new customers for an irrigation company.
Comparing the last 30 days with the first full month we measured (April 2026), straight from Google Analytics.

New
traffic arriving from AI assistants like ChatGPT and Copilot
The starting point
A well-regarded irrigation and sprinkler company with plenty of word-of-mouth but almost no online footprint. Most early visitors already knew the business name or came from social posts, and they left within seconds.
What we did
- Built a fast, mobile-first site around real services: installation, repair, spring start-ups, and fall blowouts
- Added location pages for the Jersey Shore and South Jersey areas the owner wanted to grow into
- Launched an online booking page so customers could schedule without phone tag
- Published seasonal how-to content answering what homeowners were already searching, like when to stop watering in fall and how a blowout works
- Set up local schema, Google Search Console, Bing Webmaster Tools, and lead tracking from day one
The result
Google replaced direct and social traffic as the main source of new visitors, and those visitors stay longer, read more, and take action: booking service, calling, and requesting quotes. Traffic now arrives from Google, Bing, DuckDuckGo, and AI assistants, and monthly reports show exactly which pages bring in work, so each new page targets what already produces leads.
Case study 2 · National content site · Personal finance
Organic search traffic up nearly 10x in four months.
Comparing the last 30 days with June 2026, straight from Google Analytics.
+894%
growth in organic search visits
93%
of all traffic now comes from organic search, up from 71%
+812%
growth in engaged visits
+34%
longer average engagement per organic visit

3 engines
Google, Bing, and AI assistants all sending traffic
The starting point
A tax-deduction education site, one of our own projects, answering the “can I deduct this?” questions people search every day. Personal finance is one of the hardest spaces to rank in: Google holds money-related content to a higher standard of expertise and trust, and big publishers dominate the results.
What we did
- Mined Google Search Console for low-hanging fruit: queries where the site already appeared on page two or three
- Published on a steady daily cadence, each article answering one specific question clearly and completely
- Built topic clusters, including state-specific content, with tight internal linking between related answers
- Strengthened trust signals with clear sourcing and plain-English explanations, which matter more on money topics
- Structured every answer so search engines and AI assistants can quote it directly
The result
Organic search grew from about seven in ten visits to more than nine in ten, and engaged visits grew more than 9x. Visitors spend well over a minute reading, a strong signal that the answers match the question.
Why this matters for a local business
The same content engine that wins national questions also wins local ones. When a homeowner asks Google or ChatGPT “how much does a sprinkler blowout cost in NJ?” or “do I need a permit for a deck in Brick?”, the business with the clearest answer gets the visit, and often the call.
